World E-Commerce Forum Brief History
  • August 2017 - First Cross Border E-Commerce Conference was held. More than 400 participants participated in the event that was free of charge.
  • October 2017 - Second Cross Border E-Commerce Conference was held. Workshop speakers came from abroad, and Amazon and the first Amazon Workshop was organized in Turkey. There were over 300 participants.
  • January 2018 - WORLDEF Premium Membership launch meeting was held. Over 400 people participated. 47 companies became Premium Members to start electronic exports. Ant Decor, one of the members, reached up to 200 cargos per day in Crossborder E-Commerce within 6 months after becoming a member.
  • April 2018 - A Cross Border E-Commerce Conference was held at the Istanbul Congress Center with the participation of more than 700 national and international participants. B2B mappings were made between billion-dollar e-commerce platforms and Turkish brands for the first time.
  • August 2018 - WORLDEF Business School was established. In cooperation with Istanbul Commerce University, Cross Border E-Commerce Mini MBA certificate programs and Amazon training camps were launched.
  • December 2018 - DHL became a permanent name sponsor for Crossborder E-Commerce Conferences and TRT the main media sponsor. Turkey Exporters Assembly attended institutionally and supported the conference officially for the first time.
  • January 2019 - Crossborder E-Commerce Management Consultancy services started to be provided. Turkey has made major retail brands export their e-strategies and Crossborder e-commerce roadmaps concocted.
  • January 2019 - WORLDEF became the Turkey partner of the global marketplace integrator, Channel Advisor, which had been quoted in the stock exchange of New York.
  • February 2019 - WORLDEF service items were added to establish companies abroad and provide global online payment systems such as Paypal.
  • March 2019 - Anatolian expansion took place. DHL Crossborder E-Commerce Conferences were held with Aegean Exporters' Unions in İzmir, Denizli Exporters' Unions in Denizli and Uludağ Exporters' Unions in Bursa.
  • March 2019 - Training collaborations were realized with chambers of commerce and industry, in Anatolia. WORLDEF Business School started to provide Crossborder e-commerce trainings in Anatolian provinces.
  • April 2019 - WORLDEF Business School announces the online education platform it has been working on for a year. It has announced a system that one can contribute from several provinces of Turkey, E-Learning System, which has the most comprehensive information about cross border e-commerce.
  • April 2019 - Webinars for not only people from Turkey but also for people from all over the world can attend and ask question interactively began to be offered. These webinars are held every week on Wednesdays. Panelists from all over the world are welcomed as guests and their experiences are shared.
  • April 2019 - WORLDEF Publications was established. Turkey's first and only Crossborder E-Commerce book "Cross border E-Commerce from A to Z" was published. The preparations for the second book, "Selling on Global Marketplaces", have started.
  • May 2019 - DHL World E-Commerce Forum Conference was held with the support of TIM. The event, which lasted 2 days, was attended by over 10,000 participants.
  • June 2019 - Crossborder E-CommerceSeminar was held for over 200 participants with the support of the Union of Chambers of Craftsmen and Craftsmen in İzmir.
  • June 2019 - Crossborder E-CommerceSeminar was held for over 150 participants in Antalya with the support of Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
  • June 2019 - Crossborder E-CommerceSeminar was held in Antalya with the support of Western Mediterranean Exporters' Unions for more than 200 participants.
  • June 2019 - Crossborder E-CommerceConference was held in Antalya with the support of ASKON Antalya for over 300 participants.
