Ecom Leaders Club gathered e-commerce leaders.

Ecom Leaders Club, the UK's largest online marketplace with Fruugo brought together one of the e-commerce retailer in Turkey.

Ecom Leaders Club established under global cross-border e-commerce platform WORLDEF and main business partnership of Türkiye İş Bankası gathered cross-border e-commerce platform retailers in Turkey with Fruugo which is one of the largest online marketplaces in the UK. Håkan Thyr, CRO of Fruugo stated that Turkey has a great potential for cross-border e-commerce. Ecom Leaders Club has the e-commerce managers of reputable and prestigious institutions in Turkey. In addition to special events, the platform aims to gather important firms in cross-border e-commerce with Turkish retailers.

For the start of Ecom Leaders Club operations, a launch is organised in Shangri La Bosphorus Hotel in Beşiktaş, İstanbul. Leading retail and e-commerce firm e-commerce managers of Turkey including Hatemoğlu, İpekyol, Evyap, Wessi, Kiğıllı, Chakra and E-bebek as well as England-based global marketplace Fruugo participated to the event. In Ecom Leaders Club launching event, topics such as logistic services, global market opportunities that interest e-commerce managers are discussed.

Ömer Nart We focus on developing countries to raise cross-border e-commerce awareness

WORLDEF Chairman Ömer Nart: We especially focus on developing countries with Turkey

WORLDEF Chairman Ömer Nart who spoke in the program explained their contributions to the cross-border e-commerce ecosystem with training, consultancy and event services. Nart stated that they aim to raise experts to the sector with online and offline training. He also expressed that they aim to increase cross-border e-commerce awareness in Turkey with regional cross-border e-commerce conferences organised in Anatolia.

WORLDEF Chairman stated that they especially focus on developing countries with Turkey and organise cross-border e-commerce conferences abroad. In his speech, Nart talked about WORLDEF’s consultancy activities and emphasised the guidance services for making things easier for firms that are/want to be involved in cross-border e-commerce.

Håkan Thyr, CRO of Fruugo presented in the program. Thyr stated that Fruugo is a global marketplace that enable brands and retailers to reach consumers in more than 40 countries. Additionally, he added that Fruugo made translation, local payment method and search traffic investments without additional costs to eliminate the complexity and risks of global growth. Fruugo CRO emphasised that Turkey has a large potential for cross-border e-commerce and they are excited to work with WORLDEF for the firms in Turkey with rich high-quality products to reach a global audience.

Ecom Leaders Club aims for collaboration between e-commerce players.

Ecom Leaders Club is established to increase the cross-border e-commerce volume of Turkish retailers and to ensure business development. The organisation that has e-commerce managers from the most reputable and prestigious institutions in Turkey aims to gather important cross-border e-commerce firms and Turkish retailers in special events throughout the year.

Additionally, the organisation will continue to gather the e-commerce managers of online marketplaces, suppliers and retailer firms in different events and the aim is to introduce firms that want to be involved in cross-border e-commerce with online marketplace experts around the world, develop collaboration between e-commerce and cross-border e-commerce firms and to ensure e-commerce firms in Turkey to sell in other countries.

With Ecom Leaders Club, e-commerce players in Turkey can develop collaboration with e-commerce players in different countries and e-commerce ecosystem in Turkey can turn into a community.
